Transparency and Anti-Corruption Organizations United Kingdom

Description

Transparency International UK is the UK chapter of Transparency International, a global movement working toward a world in which government, politics, business, civil society and everyday life are free of corruption. For more than 30 years it has worked to expose and prevent corruption, so that no one in the UK, or where the UK has influence, suffers its consequences. It works with the UK and devolved governments, parliamentarians, civil society and business to tackle corruption at home, address the UK’s global corruption footprint, and help multinational companies operate with integrity.

It also hosts two global programmes tackling corruption in the defence and security sector and in global health, on behalf of the wider Transparency International movement. Its policy and research teams work to strengthen integrity in British public life and stop the flow of dirty money linked to corruption abroad through the UK.

The organization does not have the resources or legal expertise to take on individual cases or advise members of the public who want to report corruption, bribery or fraud. It operates from offices in London and Edinburgh. It describes itself as an independent, not-for-profit charitable company, and is a registered charity and company in the UK.
