The Good Lobby
Description
The Good Lobby works to make advocacy more accessible and lobbying more transparent, ethical and sustainable. It envisions a society where power is accessible to all and where advocacy is driven by transparency and the common good. It advocates generally for a more accessible, transparent, accountable and responsible lobbying environment.
Its work serves civil society organizations, and corporate and other actors that wish to lobby responsibly. This work is organized around three activities. Consulting provides strategic advice on advocacy, integrity and responsible stakeholder engagement, and includes in-depth research. Research produces studies in its areas of expertise, and advocacy training equips individuals and organizations with the skills and knowledge needed to effect change.
Alongside these core activities, The Good Lobby runs a range of initiatives addressing specific challenges in the lobbying and advocacy field. These include a Deregulation Monitor, a Summer Academy, an Impact Under Stress programme, a Decarb Lobbying initiative, and a business associations initiative called Rebase. They also include a Future Generations Initiative, a Good Lobby Diagnostic and Tracker, a Good Lobby Profs network, an EU Masterclass, and an EU Far-Right Tracker that follows political alignment in the European Parliament.
It also produces a podcast called Citizen Lobbyist, and publishes guides and other resources on citizen lobbying, engaging with the far right, and EU elections. The organization has offices in Brussels, Milan, Paris and Tokyo. Its Brussels office is registered on the EU Transparency Register.
