taz, die tageszeitung, is a German daily newspaper published in Berlin by taz Verlags- und Vertriebs GmbH. Its publisher is the taz, die tageszeitung Verlagsgenossenschaft eG, a cooperative.
Its editorial operation, taz.de, is organized into desks covering foreign affairs, domestic politics, Berlin, business and the environment, culture, opinion, and a dedicated research and reportage desk. It also includes sections such as taz FUTURZWEI, the weekend wochentaz, blogs.taz.de and Le Monde diplomatique. It is led by a joint editor-in-chief team, and governed by a management board and a supervisory board drawn from the cooperative.
It permits private, non-commercial reuse of its published material, but requires written permission for other uses. It prints through external printing companies. Its content includes agency material from AFP, dpa, Reuters and AP, and images are also sourced from stock and photo agencies.
