openDemocracy
Description
openDemocracy is an independent, international media organisation headquartered in London, with bureaus in the UK, Africa and Latin America. It produces investigative and movement-focused journalism in English and Spanish. Its work sits at the intersection of gender, geopolitics, migration, technology and rights, and it has operated in this space for more than 25 years.
It reaches a global audience of activists, policymakers, academics and civic leaders through its digital platforms. Its contributors include senior political leaders, policy advisers, academics, technologists and cultural figures. Its journalism is regularly syndicated and co-published with major outlets and regional newsrooms, including AFP, Al Jazeera, BBC News, the Financial Times, the Guardian, the New York Times and the Washington Post.
The organisation says its investigations have helped change laws, trigger official investigations and strengthen accountability worldwide. openDemocracy.net is published by openDemocracy Limited, a UK-registered company wholly owned by the non-profit openDemocracy Foundation for the Advancement of Global Education.
