Observatori Ciutadà contra la Corrupció

Observatori Ciutadà contra la Corrupció is a civic association based in Valencia, in the Comunitat Valenciana. It was founded by a group of civil society organisations: Acció Cultural del País Valencià, Acicom, Atelier, Ca Revolta, Societat Coral El Micalet, Escola Valenciana and Perifèries. It was created in response to corruption cases uncovered in public companies, town councils and regional departments during years of Partido Popular government in the Valencian region. The founding organisations saw this as damaging democracy and public administration.

Its stated aims are to promote the democratic values of transparency and the citizen right of access to information, as tools to strengthen the legitimacy of democratic institutions. It also aims to encourage citizen participation and organised civil society in the fight against corruption. It aims to serve citizens and their organisations by offering services, raising awareness, and promoting participatory, democratic action, oversight and whistleblowing. It lists areas of work including studies, information and communication, education and civic awareness, legal advice and support, and political advocacy.

It is governed by a board that includes a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer and other members, drawn from its founding organisations. It publishes annual activity and financial reports, its founding statutes and minutes, and collaboration agreements. The pages read do not state the exact year the Observatori was founded.
