Transparency and Anti-Corruption Organizations South Africa

Description

Corruption Watch is a Transparency International chapter working to fight corruption in South Africa. It lets members of the public report incidents of corruption through an online form or via WhatsApp. It describes the process as secure and treats the information it receives with care.

The organisation maintains an office in Rosebank, Johannesburg. It builds a network of civil society partners, inviting NGOs, community forums, street committees, ratepayers’ associations, unions and other organisations active in anti-corruption work, directly or indirectly, to register and join.

It says it is particularly interested in groups working in communities where corruption is widespread and that need support standing up to it. It publishes information about these groups on its website, referring people to them for assistance where relevant.

Corruption Watch is registered in South Africa as a non-profit company and a non-profit organisation.
