Description

Global Witness is an investigative, campaigning organisation. It exposes how industries fuelling the climate crisis profit from destruction. It stands with people and communities defending their rights against that destruction.

For over thirty years it has worked to expose links between environmental destruction, conflict, corruption and human rights abuses. It combines research and investigations with public campaigning. Its strategy for the years ahead aims to confront the power of polluting companies and support grassroots resistance to them.

The organisation works with an international network of partners on its investigations and campaigns. It has a safeguarding process for people who wish to raise whistleblowing concerns.

Global Witness is based in three offices, in London, Brussels and Washington D.C. It publishes governance information along with annual reports and financial statements. It also recruits staff for positions across these offices and relies on public donations to support its investigations and campaigning against the industries it says are driving climate breakdown.
