Alertadores contra la Corrupción
Description
The Registro de Grupos de Interés is a public registry of interest groups run by Spain’s National Markets and Competition Commission, CNMC.
The registry records organizations and companies that register as interest groups so they can interact with the commission. It publishes a list of the newest entities to join, showing each name and its registration date. It also publishes statistics on how many entities are registered in total and how they break down by sector.
Registrants fall into five broad sectors. One covers consultancy and advisory firms, including professional consultancies, law firms and sole-practice offices. Another covers businesses and business associations, among them companies, public-law corporations, trade and professional associations, event organizers and research-linked media outlets. A third sector groups non-governmental organizations, such as foundations, associations, and temporary coalitions or networks.
A further sector covers scientific and research bodies, including academic research institutions and think tanks linked to political parties, business groups or unions. A final category covers other types of registrants. The registry counted several hundred registered entities at the time the page was captured.
