AEDICO, the Asociación Española de Denunciantes e Informantes de Corrupción (Spanish Association of Corruption Whistleblowers and Informants), is a nonprofit association governed by Spain’s Law of Associations. According to its description, it was constituted in 2022 to defend the rights of people who report corruption in Spain.

Its stated aims are to follow and participate in legislative initiatives on the protection of whistleblowers and informants of corruption. It also pushes for the transposition of EU Directive 2019/1937 into Spanish law to protect people facing retaliation, harassment or persecution for reporting corruption or illegality. It also receives, analyzes and supports complaints submitted by its members.

The association is run by a governing board led by Ana Garrido Ramos as president. The board has a vice-president, secretary, treasurer and two additional members.

It also publishes articles about individual cases, including instances where people recognized as protected whistleblowers by Catalonia’s anti-fraud office nonetheless faced inaction or retaliation, for example from the Ayuntamiento de Mataró. It has also published an interview with its president on outstanding improvements needed to guarantee protection for people who report corruption.
