Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, known as UHHRU, is an all-Ukrainian association of human rights organizations. It was founded on 1 April 2004 by fifteen public human rights organizations. It is a non-profit, non-partisan body based in Kyiv.

Its mission is to protect human rights and freedoms in Ukraine by putting into practice the Helsinki Final Act of 1975 and the other international human rights obligations Ukraine has accepted. It monitors the state of human rights and fundamental freedoms across the country and represents and defends people’s rights in courts and before state bodies. It also carries out research, drafts laws and by-laws, and runs educational seminars, training and conferences for human rights defenders.

The union brings together a network of member human rights organizations from many Ukrainian regions. Together with the Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group and other organizations, it has published an annual yearbook, Human Rights in Ukraine, in Ukrainian and English since 2005.

It also runs a public reception offering free legal consultations, reachable by phone, email and Viber, working remotely during the war.
