Instituto de Montana is a nonprofit organization that supports mountain communities in Peru through conservation and sustainable development.

It runs community-based projects that help mountain residents diversify their livelihoods and build more sustainable local economies. Its work combines ecosystem conservation, research and innovation with respect for local cultures and spirituality. It aims to strengthen local leadership through participation, combining traditional knowledge with scientific findings. It works in partnership with local communities, governments and other organizations, with a long-term commitment to the regions where it operates.

It began in 1996 as the Andes Program of The Mountain Institute, an international organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. that also runs programs in the Appalachians and the Himalayas. Instituto de Montana later became an independent nonprofit organization. It is headquartered in Lima, Peru.
