Description
Pištaljka is a Serbian website that investigates and reports on corruption and on the treatment of whistleblowers in Serbia.
It publishes ongoing case coverage of court disputes over whistleblower protection, alongside reports on local government spending, public procurement and the business dealings of state institutions. Its case files span health authorities, environmental agencies, pension funds, prisons and the state broadcaster, showing a broad focus on wrongdoing across the public sector. A dedicated municipal radar section tracks local government, and the site also runs a blog written by its journalists. It also reports on lawsuits brought against its own reporters by officials and public figures, and on the outcomes of whistleblower protection cases in Serbian courts.
The organisation lets people send it information anonymously and securely, and it runs a newsletter called UZBUNJIVAC, meaning whistleblower, to share updates. It also offers advice for whistleblowers through its website, and organizes training for lawyers on topics such as public speech and protecting journalistic sources.
