Alertes.me
Description
Alertes.me is a French association whose purpose is to help and support people who report wrongdoing, that is whistleblowers. These are defined by the French law of 9 December 2016 on transparency, the fight against corruption and the modernisation of economic life.
Under that law, a whistleblower is any individual who discloses or reports a fact, disinterestedly and in good faith, of which they had personal knowledge. This fact must constitute, notably, a crime or offence, a serious threat or harm to the general interest, or a serious and clear breach of an international commitment.
To carry out this mission, the association gives itself the material, financial and moral means it needs. It may also sell communication items or provide services connected to its purpose, as a regular activity, in order to fund its work.
Alertes.me is based in Paris, France. Its president is Philippe Candelon.
