Maine Land Trust Network
Description
The Maine Land Trust Network is a program that supports and connects land trusts and other land conservation organizations across Maine, United States.
It was established in 1995 to strengthen the land conservation community. It serves as a central hub of information, bringing conservationists together to exchange information and collaborate on shared goals.
The network offers a broad range of programs, services and resources that build the capacity and sustainability of land conservation organizations throughout the state. It is a program of the Maine Coast Heritage Trust and is led by a steering committee representing up to twenty five member land trusts, supported by a number of workgroups.
Its members include land trusts based in every county of Maine as well as several statewide organizations. Together, these member land trusts have conserved a large share of the state’s land, maintain an extensive network of hiking trails, and provide hundreds of water access points for the public.
