Idaho Conservation League

Description

The Idaho Conservation League is a statewide conservation organization devoted to protecting Idaho’s environment.

Its mission is to create a conservation community and pragmatic, enduring solutions that protect air, water, land and wildlife. It preserves clean water, wilderness and quality of life through citizen action, public education and professional advocacy. Much of its funding comes from members in Idaho.

The League works on water quality, opposing mining pollution and fracking, and on protecting wild landscapes, including the Owyhee Wilderness and the Boulder White Clouds. It has also worked on the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness and Idaho’s Clean Lakes and Water Quality Act. It seeks to broaden its work to serve underrepresented and marginalized communities across Idaho.

Founded in 1973, the organization operates across Idaho, with offices in Boise, Ketchum, Sandpoint and McCall.
