Eco-Agents

Description

Eco-Agents, known in Norwegian as Miljoagentene, is a member-based environmental organization for children in Norway.

Children who join set the agenda: the organization works on causes its young members put forward, on conservation of nature, global warming and consumption. It runs activities, campaigns and local chapters so children can learn about nature and get their voices heard on environmental issues. It also runs a school competition and started a Children’s Climate Panel.

It is a subsidiary of the Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature. It was founded in 1992 under the name Blekkulfs venner, later Blekkulfs miljodetektiver, and took its current name in 2006. It has thousands of members across Norway.
