Description

CODEFF, the Comite Nacional Pro Defensa de la Fauna y Flora, is a Chilean non-governmental organization working on nature conservation.

It describes itself as a citizen-based, national, participatory and non-profit body whose goal is to encourage the conservation of nature, the environment and sustainable development. It works on issues such as environmental research and the restoration of ecosystems. It has created protected areas including Area Costera Protegida Punta Curinanco.

Its activities include wildlife rehabilitation, work on climate change through political advocacy and environmental activism, and campaigns for species protection such as its work for the pudu deer through the Albatross Task Force in Chile. It runs a wildlife rehabilitation program marking more than two decades of operation. It also organizes volunteering and membership programs to involve citizens in its work.

CODEFF is based in Santiago, Chile, with branches in the Maule and Aysen regions.
