Description

Clean Air Network is a Hong Kong non-governmental organisation focused on the issue of air pollution.

It was established in 2009 and is the only NGO in Hong Kong dedicated exclusively to air quality, indoors and outdoors. It works through education, media outreach, research and community engagement to raise public awareness and to build support for government policy change. It has pushed for reforms on roadside vehicle emissions, marine and power plant pollution, and indoor air quality, and it co-founded the Zero Emission Mobility Consortium with academia, industry and other NGOs.

The organisation also runs public campaigns and events, such as an annual awareness drive and forums on indoor air quality, and it publishes reports including a Citizen Clean Air Plan. It works with government bodies, schools, businesses and community groups across Hong Kong. It is registered in Hong Kong as a company with limited liability and a registered charity.
