BirdLife Switzerland

Description

BirdLife Switzerland is a nature conservation organization working across German-speaking, French-speaking and Italian-speaking Switzerland.

It brings together local BirdLife nature protection associations and cantonal federations, uniting members around the country. The organization protects endangered species such as the little owl and the kingfisher, along with their habitats, and campaigns to give threatened nature a voice.

It runs nature centres, courses and publications that teach people about nature, let them experience it directly and build enthusiasm for protecting it. The organization operates separate offices for German-speaking Switzerland, Suisse romande and Ticino, reflecting its work across the whole country.
