Australian Wildlife Conservancy, known as AWC, is a nonprofit conservation organisation working to restore landscapes and protect Australian wildlife.

Guided by science, it delivers conservation programs at scale to secure the future of Australia’s most endangered species, protecting a large share of the country’s native mammal, bird, reptile and amphibian species. It works in partnership with Traditional Owners, pastoralists, governments, universities and private landholders. Its programs include feral predator-free fenced sanctuaries, species reintroduction, biodiversity monitoring, fire management, feral animal control and habitat restoration.

AWC is the largest private owner and manager of land for conservation in Australia, running sanctuaries and partnership sites across the country covering millions of hectares. It was founded following a 1991 land purchase by its founder, and became a public charitable organisation in 2001. Most of its funding comes from private donations, with some government grants for specific programs.
