Transparency and Anti-Corruption Organizations France

Description

Attac France is a citizens’ association campaigning for fiscal, social and ecological justice, under the slogan ‘another world is possible.’ It works to advance social and ecological justice and to deepen and extend democracy. It aims to build a Europe of solidarity against austerity policies and to rein in finance, banks and multinational corporations. It places internationalism and solidarity at the heart of international relations, and promotes alternatives while reclaiming common goods.

The organization mobilizes around campaigns such as social and climate justice, curbing public aid to large corporations, and solidarity with Palestine. It takes part in international gatherings such as the World Social Forum.

Attac France is structured as an independent association governed by a board elected for three years. It also includes local committees across France, a college of founding members and organizations, a scientific council, thematic working groups, a campus network for young members, and a salaried staff team.

It produces publications including books, short guides, reports, and a journal called Les Possibles, and it maintains blogs and other media. The association is based in Montreuil, near Paris. Attac France is affiliated with a wider international Attac network active in other countries.
