Transparency and Anti-Corruption Organizations Bulgaria

Description

The Anti-Corruption Fund is a Bulgarian organisation that investigates and reports on corruption. Its work covers cases involving the judiciary, the Supreme Judicial Council, and politically linked criminal networks. It also looks at figures the organisation describes as fixers, who broker deals between crime and the state. Its team members give interviews and publish articles analysing specific court decisions and the use of criminal prosecution for political ends.

The Fund also conducts sociological analyses and legislative work related to anti-corruption reform, and lists partner organisations. It accepts tips from the public through a signal-reporting channel. The organisation is based in Sofia.

Its work is supported by the America for Bulgaria Foundation. The Fund states that the views it expresses are its own and do not necessarily reflect the donor’s position. It also raises money directly from the public through bank donations, to expand its team, conduct more investigations and increase institutional pressure.
