Environmental Organizations South Africa

Description

The Earth Organization, also known as the Lawrence Anthony Earth Organization, is an independent non-profit group that works to reverse the decline of plant and animal life and the wider environment through education and action. It works to connect industries, governments, scientists, communities and individuals with the natural world so that they make more constructive choices for its protection and restoration. Its work spans wildlife protection, environmental education campaigns and community projects such as camps for under-privileged learners.

The organisation is headquartered in South Africa and operates through regional chapters and directors around the world, including in Johannesburg, Cameroon, France, Ghana, Uganda, Zambia, the United States and several chapters across India. It also runs a dedicated Reptile and Amphibian Chapter in South Africa.

Its regional chapters carry out education programmes and conservation projects for local communities in each country where it operates. It publishes annual reports on its activities and has been active for many years, with reports on file dating back to 2018.
