Description

Possible is a UK climate charity that demonstrates, popularises and campaigns for low-carbon lifestyles. It was founded in 2009 as 10:10 Climate Action and took the name Possible in 2019. It is based in London.

The charity works to make climate-friendly choices the easiest and most desirable ones, in areas such as heating, transport, travel and shopping. It runs campaigns on issues including onshore wind, car-free cities and low-carbon travel. Its Climate Perks scheme lets employers offer paid journey days so staff can choose low-carbon holiday travel instead of flying.

Past and ongoing projects include Riding Sunbeams, which connects solar power directly into railway lines, and Solar Schools, a crowdfunding programme that has helped schools install solar panels. It also ran Back Balcombe, supporting a community-owned solar energy project, and the Lighter Later campaign for lighter evenings. Possible engages the public, businesses, schools and policymakers to build support for practical climate solutions.
