Mach Meldung!

Description

Mach Meldung! is a project of the German civil-rights association Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte e.V. (GFF). It is presented under the slogan “Starke Stimmen für die Polizei,” meaning strong voices for the police. It aims to give police officers and other insiders reliable, safe channels for reporting problems or misconduct inside police forces, rather than staying silent. It also informs them of the legal protections available when they do so.

It runs a “Meldestellenfinder,” a directory that helps people locate the official reporting channel for each German federal state, as well as for the Bundeskriminalamt and the Bundespolizei. The project explains the German Whistleblower Protection Act, the Hinweisgeberschutzgesetz, and offers a training program alongside a FAQ section, a team page and a downloads area.

It is administered through GFF’s office in Berlin, and shares GFF’s registration at the Vereinsregister of the Amtsgericht Berlin-Charlottenburg.
