Description

Keep Indianapolis Beautiful is an environmental and community nonprofit with a mission to help people and nature thrive in Indianapolis.

It is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, a national organization dedicated to preserving the natural beauty and environment of American communities. It has marked 1976 as its founding year and is based in the Fountain Square neighborhood of Indianapolis, Indiana.

The organization engages volunteers of all ages in tree planting, native habitat restoration, litter cleanups and the creation of community greenspaces. Each year it supports several hundred community projects with thousands of volunteers.

It partners with the City of Indianapolis, including the Department of Public Works, on litter abatement, green infrastructure, public awareness, youth engagement and maintenance of public gateways. It also works with neighbors, businesses and civic partners to fund and carry out its programs.
