Investigatívne centrum Jána Kuciaka, ICJK, is a Slovak civic association for investigative journalism, founded in 2018 after the murder of journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová. It continues Kuciak’s work in investigative journalism, journalist protection and training of new investigative reporters. It carries out domestic and international investigative projects on organized crime, corruption, money laundering, arms and drug trafficking, environmental crime and disinformation. It also operates the Kočner’s Library project, a database on the crimes and connections of convicted fixer Marian Kočner and other suspects.

ICJK is a member of the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project and the Global Investigative Journalism Network. It is a partner of the Central European outlet VSquare.org, where it publishes investigations in English. Since 2020 it has served as Slovakia’s main hub for international investigative cooperation with journalists across Europe and overseas. It has won several national journalism awards for its investigative reporting.

Through its Bezpečná.žurnalistika.sk initiative, it coordinates monitoring of attacks on journalists in Slovakia and supports those who are targeted. It works with Reporters Without Borders and Dutch partners on journalist safety. The centre operates only on grants and donations, and carries no advertising or paid content. It publishes its income and spending through a transparent public account.
