Informal Sector Service Centre, known as INSEC, is a non-governmental human rights organization in Nepal. It is one of the country’s leading rights organizations.

INSEC runs INSEC Online, a news portal that reports daily on human rights violations and abuses across the country. The portal publishes verified news, articles, interviews, feature stories, press releases and fact-finding reports on human rights issues. Representatives in Nepal’s 77 districts verify local incidents and send them to provincial offices, which edit and publish the material.

INSEC also publishes an annual Human Rights Year Book, recording the country’s human rights situation and progress each year. The organization works through a central office and provincial offices across Nepal’s seven provinces. It aims to bring accurate, fact-based human rights information to national and international audiences and to people interested in human rights. INSEC also invites feedback from readers to help improve the accuracy of its published material.
