Generazione 231

Description

Generazione231 is an Italian association, formally established as an Associazione di Promozione Sociale, a Third Sector nonprofit form, on 20 January 2022 in Rome. It grew out of an informal, spontaneous network of mostly young lawyers from across Italy. They began exchanging views on LinkedIn from 2020 onward about the liability of organizations, especially companies, for crimes under Legislative Decree 231 of 2001.

During the pandemic the founders met regularly by video conference to share professional experience. This grew into organized training events run together with established legal networks and platforms.

The association offers members concrete support and professional-growth opportunities in the field of corporate “231” compliance. It provides training and opportunities for discussion so members can stay current on developments in that area. Its published materials cover related regulatory topics, including a section on whistleblowing.

It is governed by an elected board, the Consiglio Direttivo, led by a president, two vice presidents and a treasurer. People can become members, called Associati.
