Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance
Description
The Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance is a regional partnership that supports nature conservation across the Dutch Caribbean islands.
It works with the protected area management organizations of Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Saba, St. Eustatius and St. Maarten, helping them manage parks and natural resources on land and at sea. It builds capacity through training, knowledge exchange and cooperation between these organizations, and represents and advocates on their behalf on conservation issues. It supports program design, proposal development and fundraising, including a trust fund meant to cover essential operational costs for the island organizations.
It also maintains the Dutch Caribbean Biodiversity Database, a central repository of biodiversity research and monitoring data for the region. It is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization registered on St. Maarten, with its headquarters on Bonaire in the Dutch Caribbean.
