Derechos Digitales is a Latin American organization that has worked for more than 20 years to defend, promote and strengthen human rights in the digital environment across Latin America. It works through research, dissemination of information and advocacy on public policy. It aims to bring about change that guarantees respect and dignity for all people online.

Its team includes specialists in technology, social sciences, law and communication from more than ten countries in the region. It says it works collaboratively and strategically with other organizations to defend human rights in digital contexts, so that technology serves people’s integral development.

The organization is led by an executive board and two co-executive directors. Staff work across areas including public policy, digital security and resilience, communications, technology, operations and finance, and regional advocacy. It is based in countries such as Chile, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Paraguay, Argentina, Costa Rica and Peru.
