Description
The Campaign for Good Governance (CGG) is a local non-governmental organization in Sierra Leone. Its vision is for all people in Sierra Leone to live in a participatory, people-centered democracy, in which citizens are empowered to take part in public life and have access to resources, and government is accountable, responsive and transparent. It also wants Sierra Leone to play a leading role in promoting peace, stability and democracy within the Mano River Union region.
Its mission is to increase citizens’ participation in governance through advocacy, capacity building and civic education. The aim is to build a more informed civil populace and a democratic state. CGG’s programmes have evolved over the years to adapt to Sierra Leone’s changing socio-political situation. The organization works with key partners, including international NGOs and government ministries, departments and agencies, to deliver its programmes.
It has affiliations with several associations and research communities. Its long history of campaigns has given it a strong reputation as one of Sierra Leone’s leading local NGOs. CGG is based in Tengbeh Town, Freetown.
