SFB 1369 Vigilanzkulturen, LMU München

Description

The Sonderforschungsbereich 1369 ‘Vigilanzkulturen’ (Collaborative Research Centre 1369, Cultures of Vigilance) is a research centre funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). It is based at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and works together with the University of Bonn.

Its work is organized into areas such as the centre itself, research, people, and a graduate school (Graduiertenkolleg) for early-career researchers. It also covers events, publications and media, and it carries out outreach activities.

The spokesperson of the research centre is Prof. Dr. Arndt Brendecke. Management is handled by Dr. Alexander Zons, and the secretariat by Renate Schwirtz. Coordination of the graduate school is carried out by Dr. Elke Wienhausen-Knezevic, the publications office by Martina Heger, and research data management by Laure Sigalla.

As a state institution of the Free State of Bavaria, the university is legally represented by its president.
