Description

Oživení is a Czech team of lawyers and analysts. They work to make public authorities and institutions function better, fighting corruption in every form and at every level, in both the state sector and the private sphere. The organization advises municipalities and individual citizens, uncovers corruption cases, and pushes for systemic anti-corruption measures and strategies. It acts as a partner for anyone seeking greater transparency and accountability.

It has existed for almost 25 years. During that time it has built up experience and allies within public administration, giving it an understanding of how municipal and city offices, town halls and large state institutions work. This lets it serve as a bridge between citizens and the state. Oživení monitors possible wrongdoing from individual municipal offices through regional government up to the national government, tracking both local corruption cases and cases with impact on society as a whole.

It regularly holds seminars, offers free legal advice, and works to make cities more accessible to people. It helps anyone who cares about the country they live in and how its authorities treat their own citizens. The organization is registered as a spolek, a Czech civic association. It is based in Prague.
