Observatorio de Responsabilidad Social Corporativa (Observatorio de RSC) is an independent, non-profit Spanish organisation based in Madrid. It works on corporate social responsibility. It was founded in 2004 by civil society organisations to promote the correct application of corporate social responsibility policies.

Its mission is to promote the adoption of corporate social responsibility and to help it develop within public policy. It works to advance regulations that ensure proper management of social and environmental risks. It also encourages businesses to integrate social responsibility into their operations. Since its founding it has acted as a platform for cooperation and research among organisations, raising awareness and monitoring public policy and its practical application.

It is a member of Spain’s Consejo Estatal de Responsabilidad Social and of the advisory council of the National Contact Point. It takes part in national and international networks, including the European Coalition for Corporate Justice and OECD Watch. It leads the Plataforma por las Empresas Responsables in Spain.

It has contributed to the drafting of Spanish legislation on corporate human rights due diligence. It has taken part in expert forums held by the Ministry of Labour and the Consejo Estatal de Responsabilidad Social. The European Commission selected it for a transparency panel linked to the Non-Financial Reporting and Diversity Directive. It has appeared as an expert witness before the Spanish Congress and Senate.

Its objectives include monitoring corporate social responsibility policy, assessing its implementation, raising awareness of its benefits, and encouraging real application by companies, with an emphasis on transparency and accountability. It functions as a discussion and exchange platform between the third sector and the public and private sectors, positioning itself as a think tank on the subject. Its team includes a director, a communications officer, a projects researcher, and a staff member responsible for business and human rights who coordinates the Plataforma por las Empresas Responsables.
