
Greater Yellowstone Coalition
Description
The Greater Yellowstone Coalition is a regional conservation nonprofit dedicated to protecting the lands, waters and wildlife of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
It works with all people, including Tribal Nations, to advance science-based, collaborative and durable conservation solutions. Its work covers river and waterway protection, grizzly bear conservation and human-bear coexistence, wildlife migration corridors, fencing removal, and opposition to mining projects near Yellowstone National Park. The organization also advocates for sound land use planning and protection of public lands across the ecosystem.
It was founded in 1983 and covers the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem across Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. It is headquartered in Bozeman, Montana, and has offices in Jackson, Driggs, Fort Washakie, Lander and Cody.
