Environmental Organizations United States

Description

Endangered Planet Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to raise awareness of pro-environmental causes through the arts, education and dialogue. It was founded by Charles Michael Murray as the philanthropic arm of the Endangered Planet Gallery, an art space opened in Laguna Beach, California, in 2005.

The organization works to foster environmental awareness by connecting the arts and technology with ecological issues, promoting eco-art and highlighting innovative solutions to environmental challenges. It has organized public film screenings, town hall discussions and the One Earth, One Dream EcoFests, events that drew thousands of participants to view green exhibitors, films and eco-themed art exhibits alongside symposiums on topics such as sustainable living and environmental health. It also supported humanitarian efforts, including aid to Haiti earthquake victims and Habitat for Humanity of Orange County.

Endangered Planet Foundation has collaborated with organizations such as the Art Miles Mural Project on international touring exhibitions connecting art and environmental themes. Its board and advisors have included Earth Day founder John McConnell and other environmental and humanitarian figures.
